"I’m Kelly Lee Dekay and I’ve been tightlacer for 6 years. I’ve always been in love with the idea of bringing fantasy into my everyday reality."
These gifs make me think that this is when I think corestry turns into an unhealthy obsession… Not necessarily an unhealthy act just an unhealthy obsession.
I have been tight-lacing for 6 years. It is a truly a love of mine. Within these 6 years I have worn several corsets different durations. Experimenting.
Mr.Pearl is a male couture designer & corsetiere who shares the same fetish for tightlacing. He is able to lace down to 18 Inches. Which is a very impressive feat. He is revered for his dedication to his craft both in tight-lacing and corset making. Corset enthusiasts particularly tight-lacers understand the discipline it took for him to achieve this waistline. Sharing my fetish with the public, I think the biggest pet peeve I have is people continually associating Me and dismissing it as simply “waist cinching.” Mr.Pearl is celebrated and rightfully so. But you call my tight-lacing an “unhealthy obsession” when my dedication to my craft has been achieved throughout a duration of 6 years+ Slow and steady. patience is not synonymous for the “unhealthy obsession.”You call it this because you dismiss it as Me doing this for superficial reasons only where as Mr.Pearl is seen as “dedicated to his craft.” I am a Corset Fetishist, I am not a slave to my corset. I wear it because I love the seams, the steel boning, the busk, the “zip zip zip” sound it makes when I lace up, the different brocades…just like Mr.Pearl. The silhouette is a component but it is not everything.
